My senior year in high school, I decided to tackle a 3D portfolio made up entirely of life size dresses. Sounds easy right? Not so much. I also decided to use absolutely ZERO fabric. As an individual who could barely sew on a button and did not even know how to tie my shoes the correct way, this was a huge leap of faith. I, myself did not even think I could do it, yet the more people asked me if I could do it, the more determined I became to do it. Needless to say, I did it, and in the process I fell in love with this incredible world where you are not just doing something because you like it, but because it helps the individual. It becomes less about the aesthetic value and so much more about how that is impacting the body. My major goal in each design was to look at the material I was given, whether it was coke cans, or wedding invitations, and decide how it would fit each body (form) the best.

This dress is part of the industrial portfolio. It represents the home and improvement industry and is made out of paint swatches.
I have recently been working on my studio art portfolio. This portfolio consists of 8 pieces that are centered around the theme of "the destruction of nature by industry." Each piece is made out of a material that conveys this.

"it's just plane art"

this is the very first piece that i have made. it is entirely made out of paper airplanes, and each one was individually painted after being folded. in all, it took three weeks to make, and i do not even know how many hours in those three weeks.
